How do you know that you belong?
Amongst the long pauses of untangling thoughts,
and the hollow laughs that follow,
When you aren't sure if it's amusing or weird to feel that you are not there?
When at times you find a piece of your self in the fallen leaves;
among the many tiny desperate greener spots,
sure to be forgotten in the sea of yellowish brown of summer.
When you feel so lost in a creek with ever so known yet unknown faces,
and you desperately try to open your eyes but its all grey and cold,
When you know for sure that your fears have now grown into trees so old
and deep that they hardly let you breathe,
How do you know that you belong ?
This piece feels lik standing in the middle of a foggy forest of thought — lost, yet strangely aware of every whisper around yu. The imagery of fears growing into old trees and fragments of self scattered among fallen leaves is stunning. It’s not jus abt being lost; it’s about realizing how deeply yu’ve rooted yurself in the act of searching !!
